Our Pastor

The position of pastor is currently open, as Pastor Julianne D. Smith, who served as pastor at POP since 2010 (she has also been serving as pastor with Christ Lutheran in Struthers),  assumed the call as Director for Evangelical Mission in the Northeastern Ohio Synod (NEOS) at the end of February. This is an ELCA Churchwide position (your mission funds at work!), deployed to the NEOS.

We thank Pastor Julianne for her ministry here and wish her Godspeed in her new calling. She will continue to reside in Poland with her husband, Stuart. Their worship home will be with our friends at Martin Luther, Youngstown, although she will often be preaching at other congregations around the synod. Notice of her call as DEM (which explains what she'll be doing - likely not seeing the last of her).

Prince of Peace will be starting the call process with Northeastern Ohio Synod to call our next pastoral leadership but in the meantime we are pleased to announce Pastor Richard A. Seaks has agreed to to be the congregation's interim pastor during this process.
